Just a quick post to let teachers in Melbourne and regional areas know there is a web forum I have set up for students studying Units 3 & 4 Drama or Theatre Studies. It was established a few years ago and each year I strip the forum of the previous years’ information, so we have a clean board again.
On the forum, students can discuss the major tasks of their coursework with students from other schools. These include discussions about plays they have seen from the VCAA playlist, to advertising ensemble performance dates, to written examination preparation.
Of particular note is during Term 3, students can create threads on the forum under each of the solo performance exam characters in Drama and monologues in Theatre Studies. This is an excellent opportunity for students to discuss their interpretation of parts of the task with colleagues from other schools. Great if you have a student who is the only one doing a particular solo or monologue in your class.
Most students create a username that doesn’t identify them and few people actually know who goes to which school on the forum, because it doesn’t matter. The chance to chat about coursework, in particular the performance and written exams, is the most valuable aspect of this forum.
It’s free and password-protected. Give your students a copy of the link below. Once there, they create a username and password of their choice and wait for email verification of their forum registration.

(good for Drama and Theatre Studies students)

I registered on the forum and everything however I still do not see any topics or threads at all.
Has everything been deleted? Will it be fixed? Or is it something on my end?
All good now. Just had to await manual registration approval for the forum … stops the spammers
