Poll: Favourite Shakespeare Play

Over the past few weeks, there has been an enormous response by followers of The Drama Teacher to the latest poll, which asks readers to vote for their favourite Shakespeare play. Over 1,000 people have responded to the poll so far.

Perhaps not surprisingly Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet are out in front with the most votes, while A Midsummer Night’s Dream is not far behind in third and Hamlet is making up ground as the poll’s fourth most popular play.

My vote on the poll for favourite Shakespeare play was King Lear. There is something about Lear that for me will always place it head and shoulders above all others.

The poll marks the 400th year of Shakespeare’s death and will close on his anniversary date April 23. You can find the poll in the sidebar of all posts on The Drama Teacher. Vote now for your favourite Shakespeare play!
