Australian actor and recently crowned ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ Hugh Jackman will host the upcoming Oscars at the Kodak Theatre, February 22.
In a strategic move away from television star and stand-up comedy Oscar hosts, Jackman is hoped to boost the fledgling televised Oscars ceremony. Last year, the Oscars were viewed by the lowest number of people ever.
Jackman’s charm and good looks will likely appeal to the mostly female demographic on Oscar night.
Nominations will be announced a month prior to the ceremony, next January.
